Personal Story Portfolio(PSP)
A young Meera was on a holiday at Dedon Islands off Philippines when torrential rain forced them indoors. To keep her busy her mother suggested she hold classes for the young children who were stranded at the resort with nothing to do. Meera was thirteen, older than the other children and hence was a natural choice for this role. Meera took on the mantle and planned classes daily for a week. The children loved the activities she organized and Meera discovered that she possessed a flair to engage young children, help them learn and enjoyed every bit of the role. This incident inspired Meera to become a Teach India volunteer and then move on to set up her own school. Meera often narrated this story of how she discovered her calling.
Everyone has a story to tell. Our stories follow us across our life and spring from our experiences, interactions, successes and failures. They are shaped by the people we engage with, the work we do, our education, our relationships among others. They help us learn and influence how we appear and grow.
A personal story comes in all shapes and sizes but the only common thing in it is YOU. It revolves around you and how you faced, did and finally achieved something. A Personal Story Portfolio is a treasure like none other. It bears our mark. It travels with us & allows us to dip into it whenever we need them. These stories come in handy when we want to explain who we are or when we want others to learn from our past. These stories bring us to life. They are our personal identity.
We at Corporate Chameleons can help you stand tall and shine through clutter and noise. Join us for:
- The “What’s your Story” exploration and rewind to find the stories that define you.
- Learn how to use these stories for various purposes in interactions both formal and informal including Interviews and Team cohorts.

Mindful Storytelling
Leadership is about making authentic and deeper connections. It is about inspiring, guiding, persuading and influencing. As a leader, telling your story is a necessary skill to have in order to share your vision and get others to embrace and follow.
Being mindful requires complete awareness of what is happening and what is being experienced within. It is purposeful and allows for self-reflection. It’s an attitude of intentionality that is practiced and deliberate. It provides for wonder, imagination and this makes it inseparable from Storytelling.
A mindful leader embodies leadership presence by cultivating focus, clarity, creativity, and compassion in the services of others. Speak up; Lean in
Storytelling is rooted in our cultures and has been proven to be one of the most effective ways to not only share with the world who you are, but open people’s minds in a way that simply telling a set of facts cannot.
Almost everything that is projected about life, ideas, right and wrong, is brought to our culture through the male gaze and if we continue to see everything through the eyes of only one gender, nothing that needs correcting, fixing, or addressing will ever be addressed, fixed or corrected. Women’s voices are different because women see different things.
When a woman takes ownership of her story, she has the opportunity to define herself in the way of her choosing, rather than reflecting back to people who they think she is, or what they think she is capable of achieving. She can represent herself intentionally in the way that she wants to be seen, and dream out loud about what she wants to achieve.
The Corporate Chameleon Speak Up, Lean In program aims at helping women:
- Become aware of the intent of storytelling
- Accentuate the positive in their stories
- Use Attention, Benefit, Message and Details to craft a story that listeners will lap
- Create strong personal & professional relationships through storytelling.
Reach out to Corporate Chameleons for a power- packed program that will help give women leaders a strong voice and identity.
