Mindfulness for Change Management
Resilience in an Uncertain World
This is a two hour workshop focused on how we can use mindfulness practices to help us navigate and
manage change during times of extreme uncertainty. The uncertainty caused by the current pandemic
and the resulting economic downturn has caused untold stress, anxiety, grief and helplessness.
Mindfulness practices can provide tools and strategies to not only help us practice self-care but also
help us manage change, for teams/communities that we are part of, with care and compassion.
What topics will this Workshop cover?
This curriculum seeks to cultivate mindfulness, compassion, resilience and increased overall well-
being. The chief learning outcomes are:
Reduced stress and anxiety
Increased emotional awareness
Increased resilience
Increased mindfulness and compassion
Increased compassionate dialogue
Facilitator: Dr.Ranjeeta Basu
Dr. Ranjeeta Basu will facilitate this workshop. She is a Professor of Economics at California State
University, San Marcos, where she directs the Mindful CSUSM initiative. Mindful CSUSM is an effort to
create a more just and compassionate community using mindfulness practices. Dr. Basu has offered
mindfulness workshops across various disciplines for the last several years.
